In our bonus content article I have laid out the best Black Friday deals on Amazon this year. Links below to take you directly to the pages are affiliate links and help fund our whisky reviews.
Johnnie Walker Green Label
The blended malt version of Johnnie Walker is clocking in at 28% off and £28.99. amzn.to/2KHAAp0
Another blended malt at a good price. This one I have also tried and it appears reduced on a fairly regular basis. The Black Friday deals are no exception with 31% off at £18.99
Bowmore No1 Malt
Bowmore is an iconic brand and a go to product for gift giving. Perhaps this is not the best variate of this Islay based distillery but for those on a budget at 36% off this is only £20.50. The supermarkets can’t even beat that price.
Glen Grant 10 Year Old
At only 11% off this is a smaller discount than some on this list but the Glen Grant 10 Year Old is a very good subtle whisky.
Another Islay malt and this NAS Lore was the replacement for the 18 year old. Containing a mixture of whiskies ranging from 7 to 21 years old I always thought it was a bit expensive for what it was. Luckily the Black Friday offer of 22% off solves that and it can be yours for £61 this Christmas
Bowmore 12 Year Old
I promise to get off the Islay band wagon but first the up rated option over the no1 Bowmore I mentioned earlier is the 12 year old. It’s also on offer at 35% off so £25 and available now.
Proper No Twelve
Do you need a gift for someone your Proper hate? Well this is the whisky for you I haven’t bought a bottle because I don’t generally speaking give money to people who hit other people. Especially those who assault others in a bar.
One of the largest reductions this year is for a whisky cabinet stable. The Talisker 10 is a regular feature for any whisky drinker and is a brine coastal peppery peated malt. Its got a huge 42% off at £25.49
Redbreast 12 Year Old
A better Irish whisky to buy over that “proper” one is the Redbreast 12 Year Old. For the Black Friday event it’s 23% off so only £33.99
Auchentoshan 12 Year Old
Auchentoshan is a whisky I tried a few years ago at the distillery. I must admit I wasn’t expecting much from it but I was so surprised to find a decent and flavourful lowland whisky. This is a much better option than the versions you see regularly in supermarkets and Co-Operatives. Only 17% off but this makes it a mere £30.
So that completes my picks from the Black Friday offers which are up today at least. I suspect more will appear over the course of the sale which runs until 29th. If anything else comes up I will try and post on Twitter (so follow me @MaltedBlog) and update this article.
