We interrupt this broadcast for a public service announcement.

I got a bean to cup coffee machine for Christmas which was broken straight out the wrapper. There was no help online anywhere and it required actually phoning a human at De’longhi to give me first level support. I can’t believe this was required for what was such a simple problem so this article should helpfully help a lot of people.

Just wait and see this post will be the all time most read of the entire flaming blog!

Behaviour: Turn the device on and all three lights at the top of the device flash forever.

Resolution: This error code is defined as the stream valve is open on startup please close the valve to resolve the problem. Try this but if it doesn’t work then continue.

If the nozzle is closed but the error message continues you need to reset the device. The computer has got into a fankle and needs a hard reset. The way to need this weirdly is to fill the device with water and then open the steam valve for 30 seconds. I would place a cup under it to catch the water.

Once this is complete turn the device on and off again.

The problem should now be resolved.

We can all now get back to drinking whisky. Whisky doesn’t have these problems. Whisky is simple. Simple is good.

  1. Thank you!
Exactly the same thing here – Straight out of the box, 3 flashing lights and nothing else. This fixed it.

This info really needs to be in their manual.
