Only 2 more days to Christmas!!!!!

The Torabhaig distillery also known as the other distillery from Skye was one I did earlier in the year. So like the Advent Day 21: Old Pulteney 15 Year Old this is another comparison between me today and previous me to see which one has better taste.

The link to the first iteration on this bottle can be found at: Torabhaig Cnoc Na Moine – Legacy Series Chapter 3. I liked it a lot then but will I still like it after trying soo many different styles in short succession at the end of the year. The big difference is back in September was my returned from a good few years away from Whisky so everything was a bit new and exciting.

Tasting Notes

Colour Very pale, looks young
Nosekippers, lemon rind, a lactic note, charred wood and firelighters
PalateBitter and drying wood sap, oak tannins,
FinishVery bitter on the finish almost acrid

Final Thoughts

I have never bought a full bottle of this whisky but have now tried 2 samples quite close together. The first sample has probably been sitting in my cupboard for a while and I vastly preferred that version than this one. Feel young and harsh and not worth the money this time around.
