I was just sitting and thinking I haven’t tried an Old Pulteney for quite a long time. With that thought I stepped into the cupboard and found this little treat.

The Whisky

This is a limited edition run with his finished in Port pipes from Portugal after the initial term in ex-bourbon barrels. This is an £80 bottle at 46% ABV and still widely available. This means I might get some kind of traction on this post because the last few have taken me so long to write about that they are all sold out. *Face Palm*

Tasting Notes

Colour	very orange
Nose	vanilla ice-cream and just a touch of saline
Palate	Christmas cake and Christmas time in a glass
Finish	long rich and thick

Final Thoughts

A nice limited edition Old Pulteney with a Port cask finish. I would get it and try it if I were you.
