This is the first of 4 whiskies from Speyside distillery in Kingussie. Not to be confused with Speyburn distillery which I have looked at recently.
The first one of four is a whisky with a good story. Trutina Melody is a whisky and associated artwork which complement each other.

There are 1500 bottles available for around £60 each. Bottled at 46% ABV and featuring only ex-Bourbon cask maturation.
Tasting Notes
Colour – Pale gold / white wine appearance.
Nose- A light nose, with an initial savoury top-note on a fruity base (white grapes, apple blossom, lychees in syrup)
Palate – developing floral notes, with a hint of boiled sweets. Light texture, with a sweet start leading crisp acidity and notes of scented sweets, with a finish of white chocolate
Official Tasting Notes
Colour – Light and almost pale
Nose – Crisp apples. Granny Smith is a good reference.
Palate – Pick n Mix sweets, delicate texture and just a hint of white pepper
Finish – Short finish and that tart orchard fruit note is back
Final Thoughts
A nice whisky featuring light and fruity spirit notes. If a whisky could be a season this would be Summer
